Dear Springs Mountain Sangha,
This week we’ll gather to
walk across the threshold into a new year, in several ways:
At our Monday evening meditation tomorrow, we’ll hear a Wayfaring Mind Talk from one of our members, Kelly McFarland.
The Wayfaring Mind talk is about whatever the speaker wants to offer, coming
from the heart of his or her practice at this particular moment.
On Wednesday morning, January 1, 2020, we WILL be
holding meditation in Shove Chapel from 6:30
to 7:30 AM. Some of us just couldn’t give it up, so we’ll be there and
you can, too. As the conclusion of our meditation we’ll ring 108 bells to
greet the new year.
And next Saturday, January 4, our winter sutra study series with Sarah Bender, Roshi
will begin:
10 AM to Noon
Creek Bend Zendo: 7528Jenkin Place
No previous experience needed.
Suggested donation is $10 per meeting
You don’t have to be able to attend all six sessions, but your doing so if you
can grows the power of our shared inquiry.
Readings will be sent out in advance to those who are on the email list for the
series. To be on the list, write to Sarah Bender at sembender@gmail.com .
More information on this series will be coming within the next couple of
days.
