Three Roads, One Vow Registration is now open for our Fall Refuge Retreat, and we would love to have you join us. In late October when plants in Colorado have mostly completed their growth cycle, when we’ve harvested gardens, and put them to bed, when the sap is running down into roots, it’s a good time for us, too to let activity rest for a time and let our energy collect very close to earth. In a time of great uncertainty and high emotion in our country and our world, we can turn in towards the spacious radiant darkness of simply being. When we do this together in the temple made of our willingness to connect deeply while physically apart there is a chance to experience retreat in a new way. A way not reliant on familiar places and systems, but only on our presence together as we are. This is refuge. Dongshan’s Three Roads Jiashan asked a monk, “Where have you come from?” This retreat will be primarily via Zoom, with the option of in-person meditation on Thursday and Friday afternoons and Refuge ceremony at Creek Bend Zendo on Saturday afternoon. If you wish to attend the retreat via zoom only, you will be able to fully participate in all portions of the retreat, including when some participants meet in person at Creek Bend. Cost of the retreat is $150. Part time attendance is permitted at this retreat for a cost of $30 per day with a minimum of 2 days. To register, please complete the registration form link here, and mail or email it to Brandy Lancaster. Check may also be mailed to Brandy or you can pay via paypal. Please include a note that the payment is for the retreat if you send money through paypal. This helps the registrar, who also does tremendous work as our treasurer, understand that this is for the retreat rather than a general donation. General donations also thankfully accepted.
