An old koan dialogue asks,
“What is the pure, untouched sangha?”
“A young virgin.”
“What are the people in the sangha?”
“The virgin is pregnant.”
What
are we pregnant with? What is gestating in our comings and goings?
What wants to be born of all of our being together?
Here are some questions your steering committee has been wondering about:
– What would you like to see coming into the sangha schedule next year and how
would you like to be part of it?
– What are we doing that works for you? What are we doing that does not
work for you? What draws you in, and what pushes you away?
– What would help you deepen and intensify your practice?
– Is sangha a place of refuge from the world for you, primarily a place to
renew and deepen, or would you like to see a stronger emphasis on engaging with
action?
– Ideas to improve our communications? Willing to engage with this
aspect?
* Is there anything else you’d like to share…
Deep thanks for your being part of this dream!
